Mount Kenya is one of the world’s famous big mountains and Africa’s second highest standing, highest of all Kenya’s mountains. At a height of 5199 meters above sea level, Mount Kenya has three peaks, Batian 5,199m, Nelion 5,188m and point Lenana 4,985m. Only point Lenana can be reached by trekkers and the other two being only for technical climbers. Mumbi and her small group of professional climbers acquired mountain climbing education from the national outdoor leadership school. The team is well trained, courteous and experienced.
Our Mt. Kenya excursions are highly professional and well organised. Mount Kenya climbing main routes are: Naro Moru route, Chogoria Route and Sirimon route. It is possible to hike Mount Kenya throughout the year but it gets more difficult during the rainy seasons from mid-March to mid-June and October to mid-December.
